Robinson Lecture

Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson are world renowned for their many, much cited publications about the long-term impact of institutions on poverty and wealth. In 2012 Why Nations Fail? The Origins, Prosperity, and Poverty was published and has generated much lively discussion. James Robinson will visit Utrecht University on Friday the 5th of April. At 16.00 he will give a lecture (45 min. presentation and 45. min plenary dicussion) in the Raadzaal, Achter Sint Pieter 200. The central question of his lecture will be “Did Warfare create the English State?”. The afternoon will be concluded by a drinks reception. The lecture is open to the public.
